Father's Daughter

Father's Daughter begins hectic summer schedule

The summer has started with a bang.  As we noted in our previous update, Sonja and Jared were married on June 12.  No sooner had the happy couple returned from their honeymoon that we began the summer season with the Singin' News Jamboree in Enderby, B.C.  Hosted by Dr. Harvey and June Sawatzky at their horse farm outside of Grindrod, the event reminds participants of the camp meetings of days gone by (ie. sawdust on the ground!).

We were pleased to be able to join our singin' friends, The Amundruds and the Freedom Singers, along with the Royal Heirs and a host of other musicians in celebrating the best in southern gospel music.  The event gave us an opportunity to sing many of our old favourites as well as all of the songs from our new CD, I'll Follow You.

The rest of the summer will be a whirlwind of activity.  We'll be singing in Alberta on four different occasions (Red Deer, Millet, Spruce Grove, Harmattan) and also have dates scheduled for Kelowna and Midway, B.C.  In between, Annette and Ed, together with other Canadian MPs, will be travelling to Israel to meet officials and get a better feel for the situation "on the ground" in the Middle East.

Please pray for us as we embark upon these very ambitious next three months.  And God bless all of you as you enjoy your summer holidays and continue to serve Him!
